Suunto - The Best Dive Computer Manufacturer 2004

Suunto, the world's market leader in diving instruments, was chosen as the Best Dive Computer Manufacturer of 2004 by Germany's Tauchen dive magazine. The award took place in Düsseldorf at the Das Boot Show, international Boat Show at the end of January.

The jury evaluated the nominees based on their power of innovation, quality of product range (from low price beginner models up to high-end professional models), as well as on the price/quality relationship and the quality of service activities.

For the first time, the selection by the famous Tauchen magazine was made by a jury of international diving specialists. The jury consisted of ten German and European diving journalists, ten dive equipment dealers and ten organisation and dive club representatives.

Suunto has been on the diving market since 1987. The newest diving instrument, Suunto D9, is the world's first diving computer to incorporate a digital compass. The state-of-the-art dive computer combines all dive-critical information in one instrument, conveniently mounted on the wrist. Instead of monitoring a multitude of gauges, the diver can concentrate on the most important thing - diving.
